Terms & Conditions – Greencut Gardens
Access to Property
Clients must ensure that safe and reasonable access to the garden or working area is available at the agreed date and time of the scheduled visit.
Where agreed in advance, Greencut Gardens may carry out work at the property even if the client is not present.
If access to the property or garden is restricted due to locked gates, obstructions or any other issues on the client’s side which prevent work from being carried out, the visit will still be chargeable.
Greencut Gardens cannot accept responsibility for delays or cancelled work caused by restricted access or unsafe working conditions.
Scheduling & Changes to Visits
Visit dates and times are agreed in advance based on our service schedule.
Requests to change scheduled visits will be accommodated where possible, however this is at the discretion of Greencut Gardens.
For regular maintenance clients, a minimum of four weeks’ notice is required for schedule changes where possible.
If a scheduled visit cannot be completed due to circumstances on the client’s side, including lack of access or obstructed working areas, the visit will still be chargeable.
Preparation of Garden Areas
Clients are asked to ensure that all areas requiring cutting or maintenance are clear of furniture, toys, ornaments or other obstacles prior to our visit.
We may move small lightweight items such as chairs or garden accessories where necessary. However, larger items such as trampolines, heavy furniture, equipment or structures should be moved before the scheduled visit.
If areas cannot be accessed safely or cleared for work, Greencut Gardens may work around these areas where possible. Any areas that cannot be accessed may be left unworked but the scheduled visit will still be chargeable.
Weather Conditions
Greencut Gardens operates in most weather conditions, including wet weather.
In cases of extreme or unsafe weather conditions such as storms or severe winds, scheduled visits may be cancelled or rescheduled at the discretion of the company.
During periods of extreme heat or dry conditions where lawn cutting may not be appropriate, Greencut Gardens may carry out alternative garden work such as hedge trimming, border maintenance or general upkeep.
Scheduled visits will still take place unless Greencut Gardens notifies the client otherwise.
Pricing, Attendance & Garden Conditions
Greencut Gardens operates a per visit pricing structure rather than charging by the hour. Regular garden maintenance services are priced based on scheduled attendance and completion of the agreed core works for each visit, taking into account factors such as garden size, access and scope of work. Visits are therefore charged per scheduled attendance rather than per hour worked. Additional services outside of the agreed maintenance works, such as garden clearances, hedge reductions, hedge cutting, green waste removal or other one-off gardening work, are quoted and priced per job depending on the scope of work required. Clients on a regular maintenance schedule receive a 15% discount on additional work carried out outside of the agreed core services, offered as a benefit to ongoing maintenance customers.
Greencut Gardens cannot accept responsibility for lawns, hedges or garden areas that are excessively overgrown, waterlogged, extremely dry or otherwise in poor condition prior to maintenance. In such circumstances the standard result of routine maintenance may vary and additional work may be required to restore the garden to a manageable condition.
